With mental illness being a huge topic of conversation right now I think that this week's featured app is appropriate. It is called What's Up?

Out of all my searching this happens to be the only truly free app that covers the topic of mental health. It is currently available for iPhones.

According to Psycom, the app "uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) methods to help you cope with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and more." It is featured in their top 25 mental health apps of 2018.

Like all of the apps that are featured here I tested it out to see what it is like. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable I was using the app. It gives you statistics about mental health before you can actually access the app itself. It makes you feel welcome.

This app will help you track your emotions and play games that will "ground you". It also have information for you to research different topics. Always remember that when times get hard you are not alone. Find more about the app here.
