Which Board Game Should Be Banned In Your House? [Poll]
Board games can be a great way to bond with family and friends. It can also be a great way to start a war with these same people. That may be why my wife opens the first round of Scrabble with the word MURDER (9 points). I had no idea that this was a common problem issue with couples until Carter said he can no longer play Monopoly with his wife due to the same issues.
I remember when I was younger, all of the kids at my grandmother's house used to play these games relentlessly! We didn't watch TV endlessly, or lose ourselves to pretending - we trained to take Park Place and Boardwalk. We lusted for battle with tiny metal and plastic avatars! That's why I bring it to the cardboard square. I'm a board game champion - but there is a cost for the victor's mantle.
