Which Dish is Louisiana Googling Ahead of the Super Bowl?
If I'm being honest here, I've never seen this dish at a Louisiana watch party.
On Sunday, February 3, we'll see two teams on television play a big game in the hopes of winning a shiny trophy and all the bragging rights. In my house, I'll be finding myself at the bottom of a bowl of guacamole. That's just before I dive head first into the chicken wings, nachos, and something chocolate for dessert.
Every watch party has something different on its table spread.
Recently Refinery 29 looked at the dishes that each state is Googling the most ahead of the big game. The list has some classic items like pizza, tacos, pigs in a blanket, nachos and more. But then there's Louisiana with a dish that I actually have yet to see at a Boot watch party.
Cupcakes.
Um. Not that I have ever met a cupcake I didn't love, but this doesn't seem accurate, when we're in the middle of Mardi Gras season. I feel like if there is going to be a sweet treat after a heavy meal in February, it's gotta be king cake. Am I crazy?
Unless, of course, we're searching specifically for Buttercups Cupcakes... YUM!
