Late in March tragedy struck the beloved Yeero!-Yeero! restaurant in Shreveport, and now the family behind the business needs your help getting their loved one back to Louisiana.

Rest In Peach Tom of Yeero-Yeero

For 28 years, Yeero!-Yeero! has provided amazing Greek flavors to the people of Shreveport, and they have lost one of their originals.

Owner of Yeero!-Yeero!, Tom unexpectedly passed away in late March. Tom was loved by family and patrons of the restaurant, as comments filled with love and compassion have come pouring into the Yeero!-Yeero! facebook page.

Tom's family posted online announcing Tom passed away unexpectedly "while traveling back to Greece to connect with family."

The Family of Yeero!-Yeero! Needs Shreveport's Help

Because Tom passed away while in Greece, his country of birth, his family has been unable to have his body returned from Greece. To cover the expenses Tom's son David Willis turned to GoFundMe where they are asking for any help to reach a $15,000 fundraising goal to return Tom to his family stateside.

Donations have been flowing into the fundraiser since it opened up, anonymous folks have donated anywhere from $20 to $100 each to help cover the costs.

Since the announcement of Tom's passing lots of love has come to the Yeero!-Yeero! Facebook page, former employees sharing memories of Tom, regular customers sharing kind moments that live in their memory forever, and people from all over sharing memories of a kind man with great food.
