Award Winning Actor Barry Bostwick Returns to Shreveport for Geek’d Con

Back in 2015, Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con started in Downtown Shreveport. Not many people probably expected the event to still be going a decade later. But it's 2025, and Geek'd Con is coming back to the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th.

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.

Who Was The New Guest Announcement For Geek'd Con?

It may fell like doing the time warp again...but its probably just the 10th Anniversary of Geek'd Con. To celebrate, the event is bringing back some fan favorite guests to this year, which means we get a chance to hang out with Barry Bostwick again!

Barry is best known for his lead role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In the iconic film, Barry played Brad Majors.

Now stop us if you've heard this one too...we're celebrating a bunch of milestone anniversaries alongside the 10th anniversary of Geek'd Con. Including the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show film.

In addition to Rock Horror, Barry is known as an award winning stage actor. He won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for 1977's The Robber Bridegroom. Barry also played the lead role of Danny Zuko in the original Broadway run of Grease (where he was also nominated for a Tony Award).

Do You Know About Barry Bostwick's TV Work?

You may also recognize Barry from the long-running sitcom Spin City, the show Cougar Town, and or as the voice of Grandpa Clyde Flynn in Phineas and Ferb. Recently he appeared in Supernatural, The Goldbergs, Will & Grace, Tangled: The Series, and as a regular in the shows Still the King and Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce.

During the 2019 holiday season, he starred in the Louisiana-filmed (and based) Lifetime movie Christmas in Louisiana.

Barry also won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Film for War and Remembrance.

Barry Bostwick Was Also An Action Start In The 80s

Let's not forget to mention Megaforce, where Barry played Commander Ace Hunter. The movie is a cult classic among 80s kids, and served as the unofficial blueprint for the legendary comedy film Team America: World Police.
