Yummy New Freddy’s Eateries Coming to Shreveport and Bossier
If there's one thing I will never get enough of, it's a delicious new restaurant in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. Lucky for me, our neck of the woods is super-attractive for eateries looking to break into Louisiana - and now I can add Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers to the list of places we can't wait try.
What is Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers?
The fan-favorite burger and frozen custard joint headquartered out of Wichita, Kansas is famous for their smash-burger style sandwiches made from ground steak and their frosty treats like that little beauty (the Signature Turtle Sundae) you see above.
The whole Freddy's experience started in 2002 when brothers Bill and Randy Simon, along with their business partner Scott Redler, launched the concept named after Bill and Randy's father - World War II veteran, Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient Freddy Simon. According to the chain's official website, the menu items are inspired by meals Freddy would often make for his family after returning from the war.
When and Where Can I Get Freddy's in Shreveport/Bossier City?
According to the report from the Shreveport Times, the ink hasn't even dried on the deal between Freddy's and the local franchisees (Crispy Patty LLC) to bring 4 restaurants to Louisiana, including the pair set for the SBC. So far, no location or opening date has been announced. For now, the closest location is 98 miles away in Tyler, Texas.
This won't be the last new Freddy's announcement by a long shot
When you take a look at the "coming soon" section of Freddy's official website, it's clear they have their heart set on burger-and-frozen-custard flavored domination! The chain has already opened a dozen restaurants across the U.S. in the first half of this year alone! In fact, they opened their 400th location in Overland, Kansas in February of this year!
