Zodiac Signs Have Shifted for the First Time in 3000 Years
I don't know that I have ever put a lot of stock in to what my horoscope says. To me, it has always been too vague to be real, and honestly a little preposterous to think that everyone born at a certain time will exhibit the same type of personality but someone born the next week (or day in some cases) will be completely different. That being said, if you have lived your life a certain way because you are a proud (insert astrological sign here) - your life is about to change.
According to Stylist, the skies above us have changed dramatically since the ancient practice was first begun. Not only have the date ranges for each star sign changed, NASA has added a new one! Ophiuchus is the new sign, and if you were born between Nov 29 and Dec 17 - it's your new sign! The sign means 'serpent-bearer', and it is commonly represented as a man grasping a snake.
The original star signs were laid down 3,000 years ago, but the earth has "wobbled" so significantly everything has shifted. Astrologically, you might not be what you used to be. In fact, 86% of us were actually born under a different sign than we thought. Now, astronomers with NASA have corrected them, here are the new date ranges:
- Capricorn: Jan 20 - Feb 16
- Aquarius: Feb 16 – March 11
- Pisces: March 11 – April 18
- Aries: April 18 – May 13
- Taurus: May 13 – June 21
- Gemini: June 21 – July 20
- Cancer: July 20 – Aug 10
- Leo: Aug 10 – Sept 16
- Virgo: Sept 16 – Oct 30
- Libra: Oct 30 – Nov 23
- Scorpio: Nov 23 – Nov 29
- Ophiuchus: Nov 29 – Dec 17
- Sagittarius: Dec 17 – Jan 20
