Flooded Roadways Affecting Bossier, SE Shreveport

Tuesday night's heavy rains are causing chaos on the roads, particularly Bossier City and southeast Shreveport.

Barricades have been placed by the Bossier City Police Department in areas affected by the rains.

Roads affected in Bossier City include:

Benton Road at E. Texas St., Benton Road at Shed Road. 2000 block of Old Minden Road, Shed Road at James Street, 1900 block of Old Minden Rd., Benton Road at Clovis Street, Melrose Avenue at Deas Street, Airline Drive at Oliver Street, Plantation Drive at Airline Drive and Airline Drive at Barksdale Boulevard.

In Shreveport:

Youree Drive at Ockley Drive as well as Southfield; Dean Road at Bert Kouns; a fallen tree at Norris Ferry/Ellerbe roads, and a high-water rescue at Stoner and Centenary.

Caution is advised for all motorists headed to work this morning.
