‘Kidd Kraddick in the Morning’ Cast, Fans Remember and Pay Tribute to Kidd Kraddick [PHOTOS, VIDEO + AUDIO]
While it was hard for Kellie Rasberry, J-Si, Jenna, Big Al and Psycho Shannon to even talk about Kidd's passing, they remembered Kidd's life, humor and good deeds and shared their best memories with fans.
The Kidd Kraddick in the Morning crew went live for a little bit to take calls and share their memories about Kidd Kraddick. The entire staff was on-hand for the heartfelt tribute, and fans gathered outside the Dallas, Texas studio to listen.
"For the first time ever, we are Kidd Kraddick in the Morning without Kidd Kraddick," said Kellie Rasberry, fighting back tears.
"He's here, he's here," reassured Big Al Mack.
"We don't really know what we're going to say this morning," Kellie said. She revealed that one day before Kidd's passing, she had left the office "mad as fire" at Kidd Kraddick. "We made up," she added.
"I knew what it felt like to be divorced; and now I feel like I know what it's like to be a widow," she said. "Kidd brought me in from Florence, South Carolina. I didn't know anything. I didn't know who Kidd Kraddick was. And when I started going around town with him and people were treating him like this rock star. I finally looked at him one day and said, 'are you important?'"
The crew also addressed speculation that Kidd knew something was wrong but wasn't sharing it.
Last week, the morning show launched what ended up being an accidentally prophetic bit called "Deathbed Confessions," where each cast member read off a final statement as if from their death bed.
According to Kellie, the bit was just a strange coincidence.
"He was not sending out any secret signal, he didn't know," she revealed. "It was just one of those ironic things."
