Those keeping score at home can add another point to the Chris Hemsworth column in the ongoing Battle of the Chrises — if you like when professional superhero handsomes rescue kids in action movies that are easily accessible from the comfort of your own home, that is. In other words: Chris Hemsworth is making an action flick for Netflix, and he’s doing it with the help of some awesome friends.

Here come the men (and women) in black. Okay, first things first: If Tessa Thompson doesn’t get to cover Will Smith’s OG Men in Black theme song for the end credits of this spinoff / reboot / whatever we’re calling it this time, I am going to be DISPLEASED. But in all honesty, turning this thing into a Thor: Ragnarok reunion just guaranteed a blockbuster hit — and we are, as the children say, here for it.

A reboot of Men in Black doesn’t sound all that appealing — especially ever since we learned that the proposed 21 Jump Street / MiB crossover is no longer in the works. But when you bring Chris Hemsworth into the equation, suddenly a Men in Black reboot sounds pretty damn attractive. Handsome, even.

It didn’t take long for someone to spill the beans on Danny McBride’s weird Dundee movie, which, as some suspected, is part of an elaborate ad campaign. Still, it’s hard to deny the appeal of a Crocodile Dundee sequel starring Danny McBride and Chris Hemsworth — no matter how obviously fake it is. So we’re not exactly mad about the “full trailer” for the “movie,” which unveils a cast stacked with Aussie faves like Hugh Jackman and Margot Robbie.

Despite boasting a fairly convincing marketing campaign — including a website, social media accounts and official stills and posters — it seemed pretty obvious to anyone with at least one working eyeball that Danny McBride’s Crocodile Dundee sequel was not exactly…how do you say…real. Our assumptions have now been confirmed by a newspaper in Paul Hogan’s homeland, which uncovered the truth behind Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home.

It started late last Friday, when People magazine ran a mysterious teaser for Dundee — a sequel to Paul Hogan’s classic Crocodile Dundee movies, starring Danny McBride as the American son of the titular Aussie hero. With little else to go on and with McBride premiering a film at Sundance this week, we assumed the teaser was a fake-out of some kind. Surely a bunch of people didn’t go off into the Outback and make a top-secret sequel to something like Crocodile Dundee, of all things…right? But then another teaser appeared.

Hemsworth’s contract concludes with the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie next summer. Will he resign for more movies after that?

The ‘Thor’ star leads this movie, based on a true story about soldiers fighting in the early days of the War in Afghanistan.

So far Taika Waititi’s ‘Thor’ sequel has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with 30 reviews so far.
