Zack Snyder had completed several months of work on Justice League when Joss Whedon came on board to write some additional scenes for the superhero ensemble. Unfortunately, Snyder had to step away from the film due to a family tragedy, leaving Whedon to oversee post-production. By Warner Bros.’ account, about a quarter of Justice League was reshot by Whedon, but it’s been heavily rumored that the Avengers director actually reshot something like 80 percent of the film. Now, following a disappointing opening weekend, DC fans are asking WB to release the Snyder cut of Justice League via a very misguided online petition.

Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder has been very defensive over his decision to reveal Doomsday in the most recent trailer. While many fans have felt that the trailer gave away too much information, Snyder says it doesn’t actually give away as much as you might think and that Doomsday, while an important part of the film, isn’t alone. It seems that the folks over at Warner Bros. are quite pleased with Zack Snyder's work because the studio has just officially signed the 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman vs. Superman' director to direct the upcoming 'Justice League' film, as well. That's going to keep him -- and presumably Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck -- pretty busy for a while.
