Mark Wahlberg, whose new movie "Contraband" topped last weekend's box office in its first week in theaters, apologized for remarks he made in an magazine interview regarding the events of September 11, 2001.In his interview with Men's Journal, Wahlberg told the magazine that if he had been on that American Airlines flight with his children, he would have stopped the terrorists from crashing the plane into the Twin Towers, saying, "it wouldn't have went down like it did."

Wahlberg later apologized, saying that to speculate was  "ridiculous to begin with," and that suggesting he "would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible."
