1 in 5 Workers Will Go Back to Work Today With a Hangover
If you had a bit too much loudmouth soup last night, you're not alone. According to Moneyish.com, 1 in 5 Americans returning to work today will do so with a hangover - 1 in 3 if you are between the ages of 24 to 37.
Obviously, the best way to combat an intense hangover is to call in sick, or have the foresight to plan ahead and take a vacation day. More than half of workers will employ this tactic - if not explicitly given the day off, 67% will take today off and 61% will take off Friday as well.
If you have no other choice but to choke it up and the standard Gatorade / Tylenol combo just isn't hearty enough, you're in luck! The list of "tried and true," hangover cures is a mile long (with varying effectiveness). Time magazine has compiled a pretty exhaustive list for you to try out at work today that includes cactus, IV bags, red ginseng, and the famous "hair of the dog." BTW that last method is not recommended for work and will probably get you fired (definitely).
