Over the last few months the City of Shreveport and business mogul Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson have been building a partnership to bring his G-Unit filming operations to the city. We now know the deal for his company to take over the old Millennium Studios in downtown Shreveport is locked in, but we're also learning about 50 Cent's bigger picture.

Not only will the G-Unit brand take on the downtown studios, they have also started acquiring more property in Downtown Shreveport. With multiple reports saying that his team is far from finished buying property in the area.

But the biggest development for many is the long rumored Humor and Harmony Festival. While details are still coming into focus, 50 Cent has been sending Shreveport social media into fits over the last few weeks as he posts images of comedians, actors, and athletes that he says he is bringing to Shreveport for the event. Or, actually events. Because there will actually be multiple things happening around Shreveport on those dates. Including a comedy festival, some form of concert (or concerts), a car show, and some kind of basketball event.

One of the biggest concerns shared by many online is the cost for a ticket to these events. These are details that are also currently missing. Its unclear if this is a "one ticket for all" type event, or if tickets will be required for each event, for each day. The cost of those tickets also has some a little warry. Because comparable events can have price tags that range into the $500 a ticket territory.

For now, we have at least some clarity. Word has been making its way out that ticket pre-sales are expected to start this week, so ticket prices will finally be revealed. There's also an update on the schedule of events, thanks to Visit Shreveport.

Here's how Visit Shreveport lays out the event details, as reported by KEEL News:

Thursday, Aug. 8

A kick-off performance will take place at Independence Stadium. Guests are unconfirmed at this time.

Friday, Aug. 9

A 3-on-3 pro basketball game will be played with Big3 League players at the former Expo Hall.

Saturday, Aug. 10

A car show at the Shreveport Convention Center will showcase 50 Cent’s personal vehicles & collections from his friends

Saturday, Aug. 10

An event will take place at Independence Stadium. Planning is still in the works.

Sunday, Aug. 11

The car show will continue.

Again, how much will this cost for your average Shreveport resident? We don't know. But we should find out soon.
