6 Reasons You’ll Regret Moving to Shreveport-Bossier

One thing I hear all the time from my friends and family is "Why would you ever move to work  in Shreveport?" It's no secret that Shreveport gets a bad rep, the news is always pushing some crazy headline that would make anyone think that Shreveport-Bossier is the worst place to live.

The truth is, for me, I love it here in the SBC. Keep in mind I was raised in a "small" town in the Central Valley of California with a population of 73,000 people. Growing up we had to travel hours to be able to enjoy an aquarium, we had farms that were where many of us went on field trips to. As an adult in that town, we have ONE, yes ONE brewery to enjoy. Live music? Might as well not exist, it isn't something that my little hometown showcases.

Why am I telling you all this? As an outsider in the SBC, I am able to enjoy all the things in our community, and if you hate it here, clearly you haven't lived in many other places. I wish the folks who hate on the SBC were able to see our community from my point of view.
