Sometimes picking a name for you new best friend is the hardest part of dog ownership.

It was about two and a half years ago that my husband and I got a dog. It took a lot of convincing on my part because my husband was clearly not interested in having a living responsibility. He finally caved and our little Oliver has essentially become our child. Something that was almost as difficult as convincing my husband that a dog would be a good idea, was naming our two-pound fluff ball. We spent about a week tossing around names.

It wasn't until we were sitting in the vet's office for his first appointment that we picked one.

As it turns out, Oliver is actually a popular name for a dog. In fact, it was one of the most popular names for a dog in 2018. Although, I would like to point out, that we got Oliver in 2016 so therefore we were the ones who started the Oliver trend.
