Abigail Breslin To Star In ‘Dirty Dancing’ Remake For ABC

ABC announced Tuesday that Scream Queens star Abigail Breslin will play the role of "Baby" in a remake of the classic 1987 film Dirty Dancing.

This news comes on the heels of the success of NBC's The Wiz, along with its remakes of The Sound of Music and Peter Pan. Fox has its own live musical coming soon with its remakes of Grease and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Breslin was nominated for an Oscar for her breakout role in Little Miss Sunshine and has since starred in such film as Zombieland and Kit Kitteridge: An American Girl.
