Over three years after the incident, Afroman has settled a lawsuit with a woman he punched during a concert in Mississippi in 2015.

As previously reported, the rapper was arrested back in February 2015 following a show in Biloxi, Miss., after he decked a woman who climbed onstage during his set. He first blamed security and said he did not know it was a woman, but he later admitted fault in the incident. "I want to apologize for my actions," he said at the time. "I'm enrolling in some anxiety foundation right now; I'm trying to get it done. I love my fans."

The incident caused him to lose tour dates and he later said he would retire from doing live shows. He was sentenced to probation for the assault, but the woman he hit, Haley Byrd, who claims she received a concussion as a result of the blow, filed a lawsuit against the Cali rapper. The case was set to be seen in court on Tuesday (May 22), but according to TMZ, the rapper settled the suit beforehand. The terms of the settlement have not been released.

Afroman, of "Because I Got High" fame, was active in the 2000's following his breakout hit and released nearly a dozen albums in that decade, follow by even more mixtapes in the early 2010's. He's since been much-less active on the album scene. He put out the single "Smoke on It" in 2015.
