AMC Theaters is planning a comic book movie Nirvana.  According to Slashfilm, the theater chain is making preparations for a mega marathon featuring the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe roster.  All-in-all, the 12 films total 31 Hours of Marvel movies - and select AMC theaters are going to show every one of them in order to prepare you for the biggest cinematic superhero team-up in the history of the Silver Screen - Avengers: Infinity Wars.  In total, as many as 67 of Marvel's finest could appear side by side in the film.

When Iron Man came out in 2008, my mind was blown.  One of my most favorite superheroes came to life right before my very eyes, and it was perfect.  Imagine my surprise when Marvel announced that they would bring the Avengers to the big screen via a long and winding road made of other (really good) superhero movies.  Along came Captain America and Thor is perfect, but they're all pretty good (even Iron Man 2).   Together, the movies in the MCU weave together a very long and complicated story about a group of beings that join together in order to save not just our planet, but in some cases, the entire universe.

Unfortunately, there are only 2 theaters in the US currently slated to play this onslaught of super-powered eye candy - which means we won't get it here in Shreveport / Bossier City.  Unless you are Tony Stark-rich, and want to fly out to either New York or Florida, you're on your own like the rest of us.
