Billboard.com recently released their definitive list of the 100 best boy band songs of all time.  I am sure that this will put the subject to rest and it will never be argued about again.

Just kidding!  This list will add fuel to a fire that's been burning out of control since a cigar chewing record producer put a few good looking lads with decent voices together to drive the ladies wild and sell a metric crap-load of records.  "Which one is best?" is a harder question to answer than "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"  The Billboard list is highly debatable, but it raises quite a few questions.  Are the Monkees better than New Kids on the Block?  Who has the better song; New Edition or Boys II Men?

Take this list with a grain of salt.  It's likely to create more arguments that it solves.  Here's the top 5:

1. Backstreet Boys, "I Want It That Way"

2. The Jackson 5, "I Want You Back"

3. The Beatles, "I Want to Hold Your Hand"

4. One Direction, "What Makes You Beautiful"

5. *NSYNC, "Tearin' Up My Heart"

There are some surprising entries here among the Backstreets, NSYNC's, and One Directions.  The Osmonds, Jackson 5, and several much older groups also grace the list.  Check out the whole thing by clicking here.
