Ariana Grande isn't thrilled about the Recording Academy's claims that she supposedly "felt it was too late for her to pull [a performance] together" for the 2019 Grammy Awards.

On Twitter Thursday (Feb. 7), the pop star slammed Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich after The Associated Press published a statement in which he claimed the Sweetener singer was unable to prepare in time for a performance at the ceremony.

"I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me," Grande tweeted. "I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend. I hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more."

Grande added that she "offered [to perform] 3 different songs," continuing, "It’s about collaboration. It’s about feeling supported. It’s about art and honesty. Not politics. Not doing favors or playing games. It’s just a game y’all.. and I'm sorry but that’s not what music is to me."

In another tweet, she wrote that she "passed a Grammy’s bus with my face on it typing those," and that she hopes fans "understand [her] decision."

"I am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year," she concluded, referencing her two Grammy nominations this year, for Best Pop Solo Performance ("God Is a Woman") and Best Pop Vocal Album (Sweetener).

And that's that on that. Grande's new album, thank u, next, drops at midnight tonight (Friday, Feb. 8).
