Big Storms Through Shreveport? Here’s Why
Today it rained and rained and then rained some more. Clearly, this is the only true explanation.
The rain was in the forecast today, just a little rain, no big deal. What came next was hours and hours of water bombings from above. It was no normal rainstorm rolling through Shreveport-Bossier today, it was an absolute monsoon. To make matters worse, it was windy too, all day. Check out my friend's experience in his neighborhood.
So what happened? Just a normal extreme storm seemingly coming out of nowhere? Absolutely not, at least not here in Shreveport. What happened to us today is actually quite easy to explain.
With the COVID-19 outbreak alternating all of our lives and also our places of employment, it's no surprise that our local Airforce base was impacted as well.
Clearly, those who maintain and run our #BarksdaleBubble are experiencing difficulties stemming from Coronavirus restrictions. Today's storm had all of the makings of one we would hear about and then never experience. Without question, the Bubble is short-staffed and now we're paying the price.
Hopefully, for the sake of our Barksdale Bubble, things get back to normal quickly!
