Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan is back in the wrestling game. Last year Billy Corgan attempted to buy TNA wrestling but ultimately got screwed out of the company by Dixie Carter and Anthem Broadcasting. Well, Billy's passion for professional wrestling would not be denied.

According to PWInsider.com, Billy has agreed to purchase the legendary National Wrestling Alliance. Corgan’s deal would include him purchasing the NWA name, rights, trademarks as well as rights and possession of the NWA title belt. For those that don't know, in the territory days, the NWA was king producing talent like Dusty Rhodes, the Nature Boy Ric Flair, Terry Funk and others.

No word yet on what Billy plans to do with the legendary promotion, but he does have plenty of experience and knowledge when it comes to the wrestling business. He was involved with ECW as an on-screen performer and behind the scenes with Chicago indie Revolution Pro. And, as I mentioned before, served as President of TNA until a lawsuit forced him to accept a buy out from new owner Anthem Entertainment.
