Bossier Sobriety Checkpoint Planned For Saturday
This weekend, the Bossier Sheriff's Office will be putting an extra emphasis on public safety - and the focus is drunk driving. The Shreveport Times is reporting that a DWI checkpoint is planned at an undisclosed location in Bossier Parish Saturday night and Sunday morning, and the plan is to remove impaired drivers from the road and to remind the general public that officials are keeping the roads safe from drunk drivers. Seeing the barricades and going through process is a stark reminder for the drunk and sober alike that Bossier's finest have zero tolerance for drivers who put others at risk when they operate a vehicle while under the influence.
Exactly where the checkpoint will be set up is a closely guarded mystery, but rest assured - the badges will be out. If you see someone driving erratically and suspect that they may be driving under the influence call (318) 965-2203 to report them right away.
