The internet is buzzing after leaks of a new Busch Light limited edition flavor seem to confirm the famed brewing company is adding a Lime flavor to its seasonal lineup. While a lime-flavored beer is a favorite to pair with crawfish, sadly you and I likely won't be able to get these new cans here in Shreveport, or anywhere in Louisiana for that matter.

A photo of a promotional information packet about a new Busch Light Lime limited edition flavor that's hitting store shelves, reportedly sometime in late June. It makes a lot of sense for Busch to finally launch a lime flavor, even their promotional packet mentions that lime-flavored beer makes up over half of all flavored beer in America.

The bad news for us in Shreveport is that according to the leaked promotional packet given to stores, is that Louisiana isn't one of the states where the drink will be available. For now, if you're in Shreveport and you want to kick back with a lime-flavored lager, you'll either have to cut your own limes or hope Bud Light Lime isn't sold out already.

It gets even more annoying for any Shreveport lime beer fans who thought they might be able to make a trip to a bar in a neighboring state to try the limited edition flavor. Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi are all left off the list of launch markets.

It should be considered these are leaks, there's a chance these images are completely made up. But if the leaks are real, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel in Shreveport. The states where Busch Light Lime will be available are listed as "Launch Markets" so it would be reasonable to believe that Louisiana or one of our neighbors will be added to the list.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
