Is 57 Next? LSU Shreveport Chases All-Time Record After Beating Hope International
I've said it before and I'll say it again, seasons like the one LSU Shreveport is having don't happen often. The Pilots have taken the college baseball world by storm and are showing no signs of slowing down. The LSUS Pilots have already broken a 25 year old college record and are on the verge on breaking another record. Their run has been magical and it looks like they still have a few more tricks to show us.
LSUS Knocks Off Defending Champs in NAIA World Series
I can't stress this enough - the LSUS Pilots are on FIRE. On Monday night, the Pilots knocked off the defending NAIA World Series Champs - Hope International - 6 to 3. The win not only keeps LSUS in the winners bracket, but also improves their overall record to 56-0.
The Pilots were powered by incredible starting pitching. Draven Zeigler logged a quality start - going 7 innings with 10 strikeouts. Ian Montz knocked in 2 of the Pilots 6 runs on a 3-5 performance. Player of the Year Josh Gibson went 2 for 5 with two runs and an RBI.
Small ball, pure power, pitching...the Pilots can do it all. The next win could mean history!

LSUS on Verge of Breaking ANOTHER College Record
Earlier this season, LSUS broke the 4 year college record for consecutive wins when they won their 47th game in a row. That record stood for 25 years!
On top of their World Series hopes, the Pilots are on the verge of breaking the all-time win streak record set in 2007. The all-time college win streak is set at 57 by junior college Howard College in Texas. When the Pilots play on Wednesday, they'll be able to tie that record. If they win Wednesday, then they'll have a shot at breaking this long standing record the next time they play.

I know the Pilots main focus is winning ballgames and ultimately a World Series. But if you can make history along the way, even better.
As an LSUS grad and someone that is a huge baseball fan and followed the Pilots closely, this isn't just the best LSUS team I've ever seen. It's one of the most complete baseball teams I've ever seen. They can beat teams with pitching. They can beat them with defense. They can beat them with power. They can beat them with speed. This team is really good in all aspects of the game, which makes it a difficult task for any team that gets in their way.
