Caddo Parish Area Tornado Count for 2021

The count of all the tornados that have happened this year have been recorded by the National Weather Service. Several of these storms caused some serious damage in our surrounding area.

Seems Caddo Parish had the most in the area with 4 tornados recorded this year, and 3 in our neighboring Harrison County in Texas. After the tornadoes during the early morning of Nov. 11, the tornado count for 2021 is now 25. The map above is a breakdown of the numbers by rating and by how many tornadoes have occurred in each of the counties and parishes.

The damage caused by these tornados ranged from downed trees and limbs, hoe and roof damage, as well as lengthy power outages. The one in Webster Parish hit the town of Minden hard, and caused tree and power line damage throughout the area.

In the count, some of the tornados went from one Parish/County to another, in some cases jumping state lines. With hurricane season out of the way, and the weather taking a turn for the cool and chilly, we should be done with tornados for the year.
