Meet The Creator of ‘The Crow’ This Month at The Dallas Comic Show
If you have someone in your life that will have comic book and pop culture items on their holiday wish list, you're going to want to make plans for this month's Dallas Comic Show.
This month, the Dallas Comic Show will host their annual Holiday Special. The dates are Saturday November 23rd, and Sunday November 24th. The show will once again invade The Vista Mall in Lewisville, Texas. The show will be loaded with incredible vendors, where you can shop for those on your holiday shopping list. Vendors will offer comic books, custom art, collectible toys, posters, and much more.
But in addition to vendors, you will be able to meet movie and tv stars, as well as comic book legends. One of the big comic book creators that will be on hand is the creator of 'The Crow', James O'Barr.
O'Barr created 'The Crow' while serving overseas in the US Marines. When his service time ended, he was able to publish his 'Crow' work through Caliber Press. After the success the miniseries found, it was turned into an extremely successful film franchise, which launched with 'The Crow' film in 1994.
The movie, starring Jason Lee (son of Bruce Lee), was struck by tragedy during filming. Lee was killed while filming during an accident with a stunt gun. The film became a major part of his legacy.
With the powerful story O'Barr created, and Lee's phenomenal work in the film, 'The Crow' exploded in popularity. The movie's success led to three sequels, a TV series, and a 2024 reboot film.
You can meet James O'Barr, as well as all of the other stars scheduled to appear, this month at the Dallas Comic Show.
