Devin White Wins ‘NFC Rookie of the Month’ Award
What can you say about Devin White that hasn't been said before? The kid is a dynamo on and off the field. From heroic stops to riding his horse at Death Valley in Baton Rouge, Devin is just an electric factory of a human being. Now, the world is finding out what we in Northwest Louisiana have known all along, that Devin White is a STAR.
This past weekend, the former North Webster Knight and LSU Tiger scored his first NFL Touchdown. Now, he can add another first to his resume. White was named the NFC's 'Defensive Rookie of the Month' for the month of November. And he earned every bit of that award.
White finished November with 46 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, an interception and a touchdown. Those are incredible numbers over 4 games. And, on top of just stats, White has emerged as a locker room leader for Tampa Bay's extremely young defense.
A lot of 'experts' think that White is in one of the top contenders for the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year award. While we don't want to crown him just yet...he's definitely playing at an extremely high level for a rookie. In addition to being a great football player, he's a great man too.
Keep up the good work #45!
