I have heard a lot of people hating on the pumpkin spice latte. They say "It is filled with sugar" or "It is such a basic drink". Well let me throw some knowledge your way about the health benefits that come with the pumpkin spice latte, according to Bustle.
There are six components that make up the flavors of pumpkin spice. You have cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, allspice, and pumpkin. Now before you start mixing in the sugar, cream, coffee in the cup you actually have some good stuff in there.
Cinnamon can help with controlling blood sugar levels. Yeah, that's right! It helps with that red sticky stuff that pumps through your body. Health!
Nutmeg is a unique little ingredient. With large amounts of nutmeg you'll start seeing stuff because it is a hallucinogen, but will just a few sprinkles it is a pretty tasty treat that can help with stomach issues, cancer, kidney disease and pain.
Ginger helps tackle that yucky tummy feeling before you vomit. Don't like puking? Take some ginger it helps with nausea and vomiting.
Cloves are an anesthetic and analgesic. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds good.
Allspice is literally all the spices I just mentioned mixed together. Google says that allspice is nutmeg, cinnamon and clove mixed together. So the health benefits do all the things listed above.
Pumpkin is good for many things. It is high in fiber so that is good for your tum tum. And it is filled with vitamin A.
So folks can say whatever they want about the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but you and I both know that it has its healthy components.
