The Hughes Springs Police Department is looking for any leads in a puzzling safe robbery that occurred last week.

According to KLTV, the crooks waited until late Tuesday night to bash a hole in the brick wall of the Spring Market grocery store.  They apparently knew exactly where to break through in order to gain access to the office, and therefore the safe holding the store's money.

Surveillance show a pair of robbers working in tandem to break open the safe.  That's when Hughes Springs police chief Randy Kennedy noticed the unusual method the burglars used to open the hefty safe - an angle grinder.

The daring duo was wearing all black clothes and masks to obscure their face.  Officials believe they may have been professionals.  Unfortunately, they made their successful getaway with an undisclosed amount of cash.  If you have any information, please contact the Hughes Springs PD at (903) 639-2621.
