If you or someone you know has the EBT card in Louisiana you should know that it will not work for a portion of the weekend.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services says it's changing its EBT card vendor, thus they are being forced to have a temporary shutdown during the transition.

The cards will reportedly be paused from 11:00 pm Saturday (June 20) to 8:00 a.m. Sunday (June 21, 2020).

Once the transition is complete, cards will work again and there will be no interruption in the service.

However, the state does want you to be aware of this temporary shutdown and hopes that you can plan ahead or around this shutdown.

If you do experience an issue with your EBT Card during the times noted above, there is no need to report the issue.
