Remember When Family Guy Name-Dropped Shreveport?

Shreveport, Louisiana has been the home to numerous TV and film productions, but its not always the setting for those works. So when the city gets name-dropped in one of the most popular television shows of all time, its worth noting.

But that's not saying it's never happened before. Shreveport got a passing name-drop in a classic episode of the Simpsons, where Bart gets trapped in a well. The reference in this Simpsons episode comes when Chief Wiggum informs Marge that they have found a piece of equipment that could get Bart out of the well, but it's all the way in Shreveport, and they don't have the funds to get it to Springfield. Shreveport has also been mentioned in shows like Futurama, Supernatural, and Parks & Recreation. But no matter how many times it happens, its always a jolt.

So as fans were watching this episode of Family Guy, they got a little shock when a random theatre joke hit, and Shreveport gets mentioned. The episode comes in Family Guy Season 19, Episode 6, called "Meg's Wedding". You can see the joke (the whole joke...cause its not long) right here...

Its always fun when you randomly here Shreveport get mentioned in major shows and movies. Especially when it comes out of nowhere, and doesn't make any sense.
