Former ‘Swamp People’ Reality Star Dies in Louisiana Car Crash
Former reality show star Randy Edwards, died after crashing his car into a utility pole in Iberville Parish early Saturday morning. The 35 year old starred on the History Channel's reality show "Swamp People" for the first 6 seasons with his mother Theresa and his father Junior. According to the Advocate, State Police suspect impairment is suspected as a cause of this accident.
The news about Edward's death was announced on Junior and Willie Edwards' fan page with this statement:
It is in deep sadness that I make this post. Junior and Theresa's son (and) Willie's brother, Randy, passed away in a vehicle accident early this morning. Randy was 35. Please keep the Edwards family in your prayers and please respect their privacy at this time."
WAFB reports that the vehicle Edward was driving left the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, the vehicle then overturned and ejected him. Officials are still investigating the crash.
