More than two dozen World War II veterans from Texas and Louisiana joined Gary Sinise this week for a flight out of Shreveport Regional Airport that they won't soon forget.  They hitched a ride to The National WWII Museum in New Orleans.

Mr. Sinise's foundation teams up with American Airlines Envoy and Brookshire’s Food and Pharmacy to send the veterans to the museum.  KSLA has a few more details here

This is the kind of thing it would be had not to get behind.  According to the Gary Sinise Foundation website:

At the Gary Sinise Foundation, we serve our nation by
honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders,
their families, and those in need.

We do this by creating and supporting unique
programs designed to entertain, educate,
inspire, strengthen, and build communities.
