Help Identify and Find These Missing NWLA Children
Sadly, hundreds of children go missing in America every year. Many are never seen again. That's why the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is so important. As their website states, they are " the nation's clearinghouse and comprehensive reporting center for all issues related to the prevention of and recovery from child victimization, NCMEC leads the fight against abduction, abuse, and exploitation - because every child deserves a safe childhood."
In Louisiana alone, NCMEC is trying to find answers in 40 separate missing children cases. 2 of which are located in our local area.
Raven Williams went missing in Bossier City in October of 2018. The missing girl would now be 17 years old. You can see her photo and story below.
Sadly, the other local case isn't as positive. In September of 2007, the remains of a young girl were discovered. To this point, the girl has yet to be positively identified. "The skull of an unidentified black female was found at a Coroner's Office in Louisiana during 2007. It is undetermined where and when the remains were initially discovered by authorities. The female is estimated to be 10-14 years old. Her hair color, height, and weight cannot be determined. The image above is a facial reconstruction completed by a Forensic Artist with LSU FACES Lab and depicts what this female possibly looked like in life."
There are two families out there looking for answers and for closure. And that's just locally. As I said before, there are roughly 40 other missing children cases in the state of Louisiana and hundreds more around the country.
Maybe you know one of these girls. Maybe you've seen them. Or maybe, by sharing this post, someone you know has and can help bring some closure and comfort to a family who needs it.
