‘Hobbit’ Owns Weekend Box Office
"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" handily scored the top spot in this weekend's box office with a higher-than-expected take of $56.2 million, giving it a five-day total of $90.6 million.
"Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" came in second with $17.3 million, while "Annie" debuted in third place with $15 million. "Exodus: Gods and Kings" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1" rounded out the top five.
