My family and I moved to Bossier City in September of last year, and I have loved it!  We were previous residents of Tyler, Texas. That's close enough to be kinda familiar with the SBC, but not local-level familiar.  The more we become a part of this community, the more we see what an incredible community this is.  The schools are top-notch.  The parks are gorgeous and plentiful.  The festivals, the music ... honestly I could go on and on.  At the absolute top of this pyramid of Louisiana goodness are the people.  The words "friendly" and "generous" are too weak to be used to describe the amazing folks here.

That begs the question: are the people native to the SBC super cool, or does the SBC attract super cool people?  The truth is, it's both.  With our job prospects, low housing costs, and family friendly atmosphere - we are attracting transplants by the thousands!

U-Haul calculates which states rented which trucks and where those trucks went.  Louisiana ranked eighth in the U.S. for 2016, with rental trucks on a one-way trip to Louisiana making up more than Fifty percent of total U-Haul traffic in the state.  That means roughly 93,000 new folks moved to the Sportman's Paradise last year!

I'm not saying that people don't leave our great state, but it looks like we getting more than we are giving.  A recent report from NOLA.com shows that even though about 3,600 folks moved from Louisiana to California, close to 4,600 moved from California to our fair state.
