Bristol’s Question of the Day… Is Fracking To Blame For East Texas Quakes? (VIDEO)
Just last week a 3.7 magnitude quake hit East Texas. Early this morning the ground shook and this time it was clocked as a 4.3 magnitude trembler with it's epicenter located near Timpson, TX. Robert J. Wright claims it woke him from his sleep and that he witnessed his bed and house shaking for about 10 seconds. So what's behind it all?
There are some in East Texas who believe the quakes are being caused by fracking during oil and gas exploration. Our sister station KNUE has covered the story in depth. While the origin could be fracking, the cause is still unknown at this time. Experts say that even though there are no significant faults in the East Texas area, earthquakes aren't uncommon to the region.
All kidding aside, it was clearly a harrowing experience... Just ask Roger...
We have to agree with our friends at KNUE... Roger was clearly inspired...
