What makes some relationships last while others fizzle out? Are you getting married this year? Do you and your soon-to-be spouse have what it takes to make it 'til death do us part?'

During my life, I've found that hindsight is, indeed, 20/20.

What does that mean? It means, if you want excellent marriage advice, you should turn to the people who have been there, done that successfully or that have had time to recognize where they themselves went wrong in their own marriages.

With that in mind, here's some advice for couples that comes from life experience and stepping in 'it' once or twice. Commit these marriage 'don'ts' to memory and you two will just fine!

  1. Don't ever stop dating.
  2. Don't keep score.
  3. Don't ever leave your socks inside out.
  4. Don't go to bed angry.
