James Burton Foundation Donates To Local School

James Burton is a Shreveport legend and the "Master of the Telecaster". He also holds a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Legendary music status aside, Burton started The James Burton Foundation with a mission of donating guitars to schools, veteran's hospitals, and community service organizations in order to educate people about music.

Well, The James Burton Foundation has hit home, with the donation of 60 guitars to North Caddo Middle School. The donation was made because the students showed special interest in learning to play an instrument.

James Burton personally delivered the 60 guitars to the school in Vivian. And The James Burton Foundation continues to collect donations from all over the world, in order to further education through music programs.

The music legend was quoted as saying “So many school music programs need assistance continuing their worthwhile efforts. With the donations we receive from people that care all over the world, we’re so honored to be able to put guitars in the hands of these kids. That means the world.”
