It was a day I will never forget, with a video that will last a lifetime.

This evening, I was doing what all great dads do... Watching the Simpsons with my oldest daughter, River. Hey, don't blame me, it was on Disney+ and she was interested.

Anyways, a few minutes into the episode, Homer Simpson goes skydiving. My daughter says, "Daddy, I know he was scared", and I said, "I remember how scared I was." My daughter paused the TV and asked what I meant.

I had no idea that my daughter had no clue I have been skydiving, and to this day , i claim it to be the greatest feeling life has to offer.

So, for the next 15 minutes I walked my daughter through the day I decided to willingly jump out of a perfectly good airplane. My daughter, always skeptical, didn't believe a single word I said. Granted, I'm known for pulling little tricks on her every now and then, so her skepticism was warranted.

Luckily for her, I had the video.

Currently, she has watched this video 15 times over the last hour. She can't believe her dad jumped out of an airplane, and to be completely honest, I can't believe I did either.

As for the experience of skydiving, there's truly nothing like it. I've said many times I believe every single person should skydive before they die. It's almost an indescribable feeling, one without control, yet you never really feel a sense of danger.

You're just there, falling 200-feet per second, yet you never feel like you're falling. It's wild, you have to try it.

I will say, the parachute opening hurts like a you-know-what.
