In this week's #TBT, I'll highlight the most interesting years of my life, in terms of my employment with local sports teams.

Believe it or not, not too long ago there was much more than just Mudbugs hockey in town. Yes, just a handful of years ago, you could go watch the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs play hockey, the Shreveport Captains play baseball, the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings, and the Shreveport Mavericks play basketball.

Four semi-professional teams spanning four sports right here in town. It was quite the time to be a sports fan. Personally, it was quite the time to be an announcer at sporting events.

I was at one time, employed as either the arena host, or public address announcer for all four teams.

Looking back, that in itself seems pretty cool, but there's one last thing I should mention...

All teams won their respective championships, then collectively closed up shop after their championship-winning seasons.

There's only one common denominator... And sadly it was me. I might just be the unintentional bad luck charm of Shreveport sports.

Lucky for me, the Shreveport Mudbugs have been back for three seasons now and won the championship in just their second year back!
