Kanye West Thinks Donda Is a ‘Fire’ Baby Name
On Tuesday (Jan. 16), Kanye West and Kim Kardashian-West welcomed their third child to the world—a 7-pound, 6-ounce baby girl.
While visiting his Calabasas, Calif. office, Yeezy joked that he and Kim haven't been able to choose a name for their new daughter but the rapper was open to suggestions. When one photog shouted "Donda"—the name of Kanye's late mother—the rapper fired back, "That's fire."
In related Kim and Kanye news, the couple was reportedly offered multi-million dollar deals to provide the first photos of their baby but have turned down all of the offers. According to TMZ, various websites and magazines began making offers months ago, with some offers reaching $5 million.
Kim and Kanye will apparently release photos of the child when they're sure the baby's safety is secured. While it's uncertain when that will be, the couple posted the first photos of North West two months after she was born, and waited a little more than two months to post the first pictures of Saint West.
Kardashian-West broke the news of the baby's birth on her official website, confirming reports that the child was delivered via a surrogate.
"Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl," Kim wrote. "We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister."
