Kendrick Lamar Buys $9.7 Million Mansion: Report
After welcoming a daughter into the world this past July, Kendrick Lamar has reportedly purchased a California mansion worth nearly $10 million.
According to a report Variety published on Tuesday (Sept. 17), the Compton native purchased a $9.73 million mansion in Manhattan Beach, Calif. The house is a 5,350 square-foot luxury space with a three-story structure that holds four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The mansion also sports a three-car garage, front yard patio and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The property, which was designed by Powers Development, is assumed to have massive kitchens with designer appliances and "a resort-style master retreat and at least one or two convenient wet bars on the premises."
This home is a major upgrade for Lamar and his family, who reportedly once paid $523,400 for a home in 2013. K. Dot traded in that house for a larger, more luxurious estate in 2017. For that purchase, he reportedly shelled out $2.65 million dollars for a guarded residence in Calabasas, Calif. Lamar's mother and younger sister are reportedly sharing this home along with several family members.
Due to the fact that the home was never listed publicly, there are no photos of the interior.
In other Kendrick Lamar related news, his good kid, m.A.A.d city album recently became the longest-charting hip-hop studio album in Billboard 200 history according to a Sunday report from Chart Data. In the process, K. Dot beat out Eminem's The Eminem Show, which lasted 357 weeks on the chart.
