It's a safe bet to say that if you're trading illegal drugs for anything, you probably on the wrong path in life.  I mean, it's right there in the title: Illegal drugs - not only should you not have them, you absolutely shouldn't use them as currency.  Unfortunately, that simple and easy to understand fact escaped James Gregoire.  As bad as that may be, the situation that led to his recent arrest is even worse.

According to the report from WGNO, the 66-year-old Pierre Part, Louisiana resident is currently locked up in the Assumption Parish Jail on a laundry list of charges.  He stands accused of using social media to make contact with a juvenile and allegedly offering narcotics in exchange for sexually explicit materials including photos and videos.  Gregoire is also accused of providing drugs to the unnamed minor, and making "overtures of a sexual nature to the juvenile."

Reportedly, those offers were declined by the juvenile in question - and that's when law enforcement officials were notified.  After a brief investigation, Gregoire was arrested and several drugs were reportedly confiscated from his home.  According to the report, he is charged with the following:

  • Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)
  • Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles (Felony)
  • Distribution of Marijuana
  • Distribution of Methamphetamine
  • Misdemeanor Sexual Battery
  • Attempted Possession of Pornography Involving Juvenile
  • Solicitation of Prostitution (1 Count) (Felony)
