Macklemore Texts Kendrick Lamar after Grammys Win: ‘I Robbed You’
Macklemore won big at the 2014 Grammys this week, and one of the first things he did afterward was send a text message to Kendrick Lamar regretting the victory.
The text message came after Macklemore walked away with four Grammys this week, including Best Rap Song ("Thrift Shop") and Best Rap Album ("The Heist"). But according to the rapper, Lamar should have won.
To make that abundantly clear, Macklemore posted a screenshot on his Instagram page of the text message he sent to Lamar following his Grammy wins.
"You got robbed," Macklemore wrote to Lamar. "I wanted you to win. You should have. It's weird and sucks that I robbed you."
Macklemore's good-natured and humble attitude is commendable. If you ever doubted has was a good guy, you now have definitive proof.
