According to KSLA, the meeting that was supposed to take place Thursday night that would may determine the future of the confederate statue that stands outside of the Caddo Parish courthouse in downtown Shreveport was postponed.

Jackie Nichols, the secretary of the Caddo Commission Monument Advisory panel, was not present at the meeting and was not allowed to vote over the phone.  Another panel member recommended postponing the vote because of the absence. For now the future of the statue is undetermined.
