Migos, Childish Gambino and More Attend 2018 Met Gala
Hip-hop dressed to impress at the 2018 Met Gala, with rappers like Migos, Childish Gambino and many more making an appearance on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Monday night (May 7).
This year's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," had many rappers daring to be different in avant-garde looks. From Migos' colorful Versace suits adorned with religious imagery to 2 Chainz's black Versace ’fit, it was clear which designer had a hold on the red carpet this year since Donatella Versace is one of the 2018 Met Gala co-chairs.
Nicki Minaj donned a red Oscar de la Renta gown with a plunging neckline, long train and draping cape. And leave it to the Queen—the title of Nicki's new album—to rock a draping bejeweled headpiece to match.
Cardi B showed off her baby bump in an elaborate gold Moschino by Jeremy Scott gown. Blue and red crystals decorated the long-sleeve ensemble and the jeweled crown atop her head proved the Bronx rhymer was out to make a lasting impression.
When it came to Diddy and Cassie, opposites certainly attract with the hip-hop mogul sporting an all-white suit and the singer rocking a black three-piece look.
In addition to the hip-hop drip all over the red carpet, there was a memorable moment caught on camera when 2 Chainz proposed to his longtime partner Kesha Ward. The two have three children together: Heaven, Harmony and Halo.
From Travis Scott to Wiz Khalifa and more, take a look at which rappers hit the red carpet at the 2018 Met Gala in the gallery below.
