Now, a gruesome discovery could be the break investigators need to solve the mystery of what happened to Rosemary.

The last time Rosemary Rodriguez was seen alive was the evening of October 7th, 2019. According to the report from CBS19, she was last seen leaving her boyfriends house that night at around 6:45 p.m. in her lime green 2014 Chevrolet Sonic with an OU sticker on the back window. She was reportedly wearing her company smock (she worked as a pharmacy tech at Walmart) and blue jeans.

Rosemary Rodriguez didn't show up for work for 2 days, and according to her co-workers at the Walmart pharmacy in Kilgore - that was not like her. When managers called to see where she was, family members knew something was wrong. Not only was it not in her character to blow off work, friends and family hadn't seen her. An official missing persons report was filed, and investigators have been looking for any sign of her since then.
Gregg County Investigators Found Rosemary's Car In The Kilgore, Texas Woods on Friday
A grizzly discovery made by Gregg County criminal investigation officials on Friday may just be the break in the case police need to solve it. According to KETK, a lime green 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, just like the one Rosemary Rodriguez was reportedly driving, has been discovered in a wooded area not far from where she was last seen more than 2 years ago. After a tip from an unidentified person that a car matching the description of the one police were looking for was tucked away in the woods just off Mt. Pisgah Road, investigators located the vehicle.

According to the report, not only is it the vehicle officials have been looking for - they have found human remains inside. The vehicle will reportedly take a while to remove due to the overgrowth of vegetation. Once it is free, it will be taken to a secure location for further investigation. At the time of this report, authorities have offered no word as to the condition of the remains or who the remains belong to. More information on the discovery is expected later this week.
